Liverpool have been convincingly beaten by Mainz 4-0 less than 24 hours after putting Barcelona to the sword in Wembley.
The side that came out against Mainz were almost unrecognisable to the one that bossed Barcelona in a 4-0 win and Jurgen Klopp was understandbly incensed during most of the game.
An early penalty and then three further goals were enough to brush aside a lacklustre and woefully unorganised Liverpool side to end their pre-season with the worst possible result.
It means all the confidence from Saturday’s emphatic victory has been virtually wiped out and here are five players who should worry about their place against Arsenal next weekend.
