As the Sun report, the super agent earned more money in the summer than Real Madrid pay Cristiano Ronaldo annually. Anyone who came here thinking this was a Ronaldo diss is mistaken. The Portugueezer earns an insane £21m-a-year, nothing to be sniffed at. But Raiola pocketed an insane £29.2m in agent fees from the sales of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester United.

Catch your breath and we’ll break down the fees. A gigantic £20m of that was from Pogba’s record-breaking transfer. He made £6.7m from Mkhitaryan’s switch from Borussia Dortmund. And even though Zlatan joined on a ‘free transfer’, Raiola earned £2.5 million for brokering that deal.
It must be said that Ronaldo earns a hell of a lot more a year from endorsement deals. But, strictly talking football, Raiola wipes the floor with the world’s best-paid player. It could have been more if his other clients (like Romelu Lukaku) had moved in big deals.

But his career total earnings of £270m should tide him over until the next transfer window.
